Are We Better Off ?
- Sati is banned but still women are burnt for dowry.
- Education has improved but we still have communal issues.
- We have a very educated Prime minister and a President but we still have 26% percent Indians living below poverty line.
- Children are educated but yet they are not allowed to speak their mind.
- If you have an opinion you don’t fit in.
- Marry who your parents choose only because they think they know better.
- Plus many more I just can’t think of right now
I don’t know what progress or development is? If it is what I see around then I only ask myself “Are we better off?”

i guess we are.
you are able to express what u feel without the fear of being lynched was not what it was a century ago in ur country.
problems and issues will evolve. when old problems die (be it weapons or viruses) new will be born.
felt that ur points were too much seeking perfection .. a bit utopian.
>>>Children are educated but yet they are not allowed to speak their mind.
am actually astounded most of thetime when my niece the 7 year old sarah or my frnds daughter 3 yr old rechu become opinionated on anything from quality of service in a restaurant to the match-correctness of abhiaish.
>>>If you have an opinion you don’t fit in.
you r publishing ur opinion to the world...
its changing .. better or worse is just the perspective u ascribe
This might sound mundane, but - Better off with/without?
Brasto Wht I wanted to ask was if we are better off with education ?
