Om "Save me" Om!!!

Ya I saw the movie Om Shanti Om :(.....I have no words to describe how pathetic the movie was and the most shocking part, its publicized as the mega hit of the year. Duh!!!!!

Ok the movie started off fine and I was like Oh story about a guy wanting to make it big in life but as it continued I was like ok the guy wants to make it big in life and loves the poster girl then as it continued I was ok he likes the poster girl and she is beyond his reach ...Oh man, as it continued Ok she is not beyond his reach but she has someone else in mind (typical bollywood!!) and this somene else put her on fire and the guy try to get her out of fire (thank god he didn't try to extinguish it ) but was in vain and they both end up dead. Cling cling (Interval time)
Now what both are dead. Don't worry for the sake of entertaining us Farah Khan takes the pain to bring them back to life I really don't have the strength to write further because the genre of the movie then changes from spoof to horror to thriller to what they call "complete entertainment". But I would say, completely confused team of movie makers.

There was a particular song where we could see all the long forgotten bollywood stars and the people were clapping with joy and I think that the team mistook that clapping and declared the movie as hit. But there was no clap at the end of the movie and everyone looked confused just like Farah and team. Deepika Padukone's performance is hyped all over the media. Looks like luck and King Khan is on her side. But something about the movie was ok and most things about the movie was predictable and boring.

Until next post be safe and keep smiling....

I was disappointed with this movie too!
A couple of lapse in screenplay, poor story telling and a genre that Sharukh is not the best at (Comedy) adds up to a completely ludicrous movie.
All said and done, the movie did fabulous – credits to Sharukh’s intense marketing and advertisements.
And yeah, don’t go by the reviews; NDTV is a media partner!

one of my grudges against the movie industry is that they dont give ANY respect to the viewer's sensibility. they seem to be unaware that viewers got a brain and use it too. this is especially true of hindi and tamil movies. Malayalam movies, I used to think, were a bit better, but they have become hopeless too. heroes jump from the 5th floor, beats up 25 people, dodge bullets!!! when people hit each other, it is still a "DISHYUM" (with echoes). when the hero punches, people fly and crashes through the roof of the vegetable shop. btw, when fights take place, if it is not a market, it would be a warehouse stacked with empty cartons!!
that reminds me that another thing that puts me off is the repetition. Why does EVERY hindi movie song have either the lead pair dancing in a foreign country, or it is a dimly lit disco, with a semi-clad girl dancing around a pole and a thousand others jumping up and down!! Or let us take the case of recent mallu movies where the biggest comedy is someone (usually salim kumar) falling into a ditch full of mud/cowdung and then someone seeing it and fainting.....

unlike what a lot of people think, i actually like seeing movies. but it pisses me off when these movie makers repeatedly make fools out of people and nobody responds. and it pisses me off when they do crimes and people still flock to see them

any comments?
