The best days of my life is definitely the time I spent at ASB and I was very sad to leave college, but life must go on. All of us landed on some jobs and some married off and thanks to e-mails and mobile phones, we still keep in touch. But wedding is one occassion where we meet old friends and just sit around and chit chat like there's no end.:)
I noticed that the guys remebered most of the things that happened back in college and even bitched about people they thought were weird and of course made jokes about each other and blah blah....At the end of it, all I had to say was "Whoever said that men don't gossip obviously never heard a group of men talk!!!" :)......The guys suddenly got all defensive and from there on the next part of the fun began ...girls against guys and somehow the endless debate ended ...
What I can't seem to understand is why women are sterotyped as gossipers when men also do the same...What I think is that people love to gossip irrespective of their sexes. But gossip is not a negative thing as long as it doesn't harm anyones sentiments. Because sometimes gossips do get you some informations that you otherwise never have had access to. On a positive note we can say that, gossiping is a way of networking :).....

However I beg to differ on your observations of “gossip not being a negative thing”.
By definition, gossips are Rumor or facts of a personal, sensational, or intimate nature.
And more often then less the attributes of a good gossip are – “facts candy wrapped with rumors”:
Thus, I fail to understand how any gossip would go without hurting the sentiments of others.

Hey Brasto ...I am not entirely in support of gossiping but c,mon dont we all love to be part of the grape vine...But yes its a highly neagtive thing rather than positive but I think some gossips do help us get information that we wouldnt get from formal communication channel ...Think about it..:)...and read the artcles I have attched to the post ...:)...
